The 'Forklift Operator' is responsible for operating a forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, storing and counting merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform 'Order Filler/Picker' and 'all other' duties in addition to his/her own
Job Highlights
- Accurately fill primary locations focusing on "dynamics" first and then manual letdowns
- Accurately replenish flow racking ensuring that the quantity put in the primary matches the quantity on the computer
- Ensure that replenishment stock quantity that is put back into overstock is accurate
- Accurately put away merchandise from the receiving docks to the racking
- Efficiently stack and store the palletized merchandise in the appropriate areas in the racking according to the pallet height, primary location and weight
- Maintain inventory accuracy by physical moving the correct quantity of merchandise in accordance to the quantity in the system
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
Job Requirements
- Completion of High School
- Experience as an Order Picker or a similar position
- Must be capable of sitting and walking for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift heavy items for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic PC skills
